De-Escalation is the use of communication or other techniques during an encounter to stabilize, slow, or reduce the intensity of a potentially violent situation without using physical force, or with a reduction in force. Everyone should learn de-escalation techniques and every workplace should provide these tools to improve safety.
Students will learn to recognize aggression and signs of imminent violence. They will also learn about body language, tone, what to say, and what not to say to reduce risk and increase safety. The goal of this program is to reduce the chance of encounters turning violent.
Safety Analytics offers a number of self-defense programs from the RAD Systems of Self-Defense. This includes RAD Basic Physical Defense for Women, RAD for Men, RAD Aerosol Defense Options, RAD Keychain Defense Options, radKIDS and RAD for Seniors.
These courses can be great team building programs and an excellent benefit to offer employees, volunteers and their families. The programs can be offered with and without simulation. Simulation involves the use of protective gear for students and instructors and realistic scenarios that include the use of physical force.
These programs can be offered for free by local police agencies that have the resources to offer these programs. However, for some it is not possible to find a local course that fits their needs or into their schedule.

CERT stands for Community Emergency Response Team. Safety Analytics can train your Community, or Workplace Emergency Response Team. Depending on the size of your operation, your business or Non-Profit organization should have a team of people who can respond to emergencies. We can ensure that your team is prepared to respond to all hazards.
Workplace violence is the 5th leading cause of death in the workplace and the thought of an active shooter attack is a fear shared by many workers. This program will help reduce fear in the workplace by increasing knowledge and offering steps that people can take to prevent and respond to extreme violent attacks. There will be a discussion of past events, the low odds of being involved in one of these events, and knowledge of what do when and if the worst does happen. We will discuss all-hazards and share free resources to intelligently respond to any type of emergency or disaster. Our goal is to make sure that people are not scared, but prepared for all hazards.
